In celebration of Armed Forces Day, Infinite Hero Foundation teamed up with other non-profit groups and Southern California-based companies to honor our local military families at the eleventh annual Operation Appreciation event.
The event, produced by the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, North County Times, City of Oceanside and the Armed Services YMCA at Camp Pendleton, was an opportunity for service members and their families from Camp Pendleton and surrounding bases to enjoy a day of activities, including carnival rides, a rock wall, live entertainment, military land and amphibious displays and sponsor giveaways and discounts, in appreciation for their service. They were also given a full catered meal, served by local military and political dignitaries.
Participants who stopped by the Infinite Hero booth learned about the Foundation’s mission to address the needs of military heroes and their families, and had the opportunity to win Oakley product and a NASCAR Track Day package, donated by Rusty Wallace Racing Experience. Families also took pictures with the Infinite Hero NASCAR.
The majority of the 5,000 attendees came from Camp Pendleton, the largest Marine Corps base in the world, which is home to more than 35,000 Marines, Sailors and their families. These men and women were some of the first to land in Kandahar following September 11, 2001. Infinite Hero Foundation was honored to participate in this event to show support of our military heroes.
